Grey Anatomy Episode 5 – Oh The Guilt
Derek and Addison get their divorce, we find out the truth that Mark (McDreamy) was a little more then a one night stand. Derek and Mark have a conversation; well Mark does while Derek listens, Mark talks about how Derek and Addison have wasted a year trying to make their marriage work when Derek could have been with Meredith that entire time.Izzie continues to morph into Martha Stewart, this episode its pancakes for George and Meredith. With her refusal to deposit her 8 Million dollar check there is a lot of speculation as to why (her) what do to with the money (her friends). Izzie did however change out of the sweater she made for Denny – a first since his death.
Finally Izzie realizes she is a surgeon, it took Christina doing a running whip stitch on Mr. “lodge” (see strange patients) while assisting Burke in surgery. Oh it also helped a little that Burke gave her a stern lecture on how he is not fine because he got shot and how she is not fine because Denny is dead – just to remember they are not fine. Burke reminded Izzie that she quit being a surgeon she has two good hands and she wasn’t using them. The Chief admits to Izzie that when he as an Intern he made a mistake but he stayed and did not run and because of that he gets to save lives.
Strange patients get stuck in a compromising position when his “piercing” gets lodged on her IUD. We find out they are ex husband and wife when their daughter walks in the room while they are still “lodged” together. While the fine Doctors of Seattle Grace are trying to dislodge them the man suffers a heart attack
Breast Cancer patient scared, afraid to hold her baby, just afraid of having cancer. Dr Bailey steps in and counsels the patient
Meredith – Within one week she lost two boyfriends and her appendix. Although it appears that Derek is not lost, just taking a temporary “vacation”. Meredith admits to Derek that she has ended her relationship with Finn, no response from Derek – of course this is right after Addison tells him about Mark.
Alex – YES, Alex is back on the love side this week, I am proud of the way he stood up for Bailey. The way he supported Bailey on her issue with Izzie and Denny, Alex told her he knew what Izzie was up to and did not try to stop her so Bailey should not take that guilt alone.
Derek and Addison – The divorce has not gone well, Addison has admitted that her one night stand with Mark was more then a one night stand. Upon admitting this to Derek he tells her all he wants in the divorce is Seattle and to never see her again.
Burke and Christina – They are proving to be a really strong team, both as a couple and in surgery.
George – LOL when he threatened to call Izzie’s Mom was a classic line.
Izzie - It’s obvious she misses the hospital; she is there a lot these days. Why is she hanging out in the locker room all day?
Callie – HUGE mistake sleeping with Mark (McSteamy). Being cold towards George to hide your guilt is just messing with his head. Last scene George shows up at her door with movies and chicken, what happens when the McSteamy thing is exposed?
Bailey - Love, love, love her. Poor Miranda at the review for Denny’s case, I am not sure who the blonde doctor was who was giving her such a hard time but he should know better then to mess with Bailey (guess he does not know her nickname).
Favorite Line:
Blonde Doctor and Bailey:
Blonde Doctor – Dr Bailey understand it’s nothing personal
Bailey – People talking about your hormone level seems pretty personal
Addison, Izzie and George
Izzie to Addison - Do you ever feel guilty for being rich, I am beginning to feel guilty and I cannot talk to my friends about it since they are all so (whisper) poor
George – Standing right here Izzie

Good episode this week. We get to some different sides of all the characters personality. Derek we see a competitive side, yet a side where to me it seems he loses his focus. Meredith, we see a fun side – yes drug induced but yet fun. Christina is going have to step up and think of someone else other then herself, Burke is going to need her coaching to help him overcome his tremors. Its time to say Goodbye to McVet, Bye Finn I will miss you. Callie and McSteamy, say its NOT SO…someone please. Is this the end for Meredith and Derek?
Burke - I want to call this the “choppin chicken” episode, we see Burke choppin chickens throughout the entire episode, I sure hope they like chicken in that household. Burke’s hand is not fine, he is experiencing tremors. Christina is trying to be supportive, this is not a role she is comfortable with you can tell.
Meredith – Is she pregnant, let’s hope not a baby always ruins a good TV show (think Mad About You). Okay I love a drugged Meredith, almost more then a non-drugged Meredith. Her conversation with Addison was long overdue even if Meredith was stoned and Addison is sure that once the drugs wear off Meredith will not remember a word of it.
George and Callie – Are these two going to make it? Callie and George have some communication problems, is she jealous of Izzie and Meredith?
Bailey – Continues to be my favorite character on this show, I predict she will be the one to bring old McSteamy down a notch or two, stay tuned. Loved her pep talk to the car salesman, it does not matter what you look like but that you have people in your life who love you.
Derek aka McDreamy- He seems to have lost focus this episode, McSteamy may have thrown him off his game. Challenges over the right time to do the plastic surgery on the Car Salesman, were they for the “patients good” or was Derek trying to flex his power. When Derek told Meredith he as “walking away” do we believe that... is there a show without him.
Addison - I personally like Addison, she is tough and smart and her character continues to grow on me. When she told Mark goodbye is that for real or is Mark like her forbidden fruit?
Alex - I still have a love/hate relationship with Alex,
Izzie - The girl breaks my heart; she is so heartbroken over Denny you have to wonder if you ever get over a love like that. Denny’s Father was a little rough on Izzie, but now we know the whole story. 8 Million dollars later will Izzie return to medicine?
Patient The Car Salesman – Why did his wife seem so concerned with his face, okay it was a nice face but a FABULOUS face. Not so fabulous now, lighting a cigarette while on oxygen boy you would have thought he’d know better. McSteamy to rescue, thank goodness they got a top plastic surgeon in the country on staff the same day.
Favorite Lines:
Bailey and Addison:
Bailey – Since when do you get out?
Addison – Clearly I am not myself today
Bailey – Never would have figured Mark Sloan to be your type
Addison: He’s not, He’s not (sigh) what is he doing here? He’s not suppose to be here, I can’t have him here, he’s suppose to be in New York - I can’t function with him here, I’m a professional here, people respect me here but when he is here I’m
Bailey – The woman who gets the hot for man candy and cheats on her husband
Addison – That is rude and unkind and completely true oh my God what am I going to do.
Meredith – “Dr Bailey all my boyfriends are here” (as McDreamy and McVet are leaving the room)
Meredith – “Oh and on the table keep me draped, to many people have seen me naked.”

Opening scene WOW a threesome with McSteamy (Derek) and McVet (Finn) –WAKE UP Meredith it’s a dream.
Izzie: Come on Izzie you can do it girl, just walk back into the hospital. I loved Izzie talking to George about the bride’s magazine, I feel the same way I never want to be that girl myself.
George and Callie – I am still liking these two as a couple, I think Callie is more then George can handle, I sure hope he rises to the occasion. Loved Georges’ explanation of a Super Hero to Alex it shows a sweet almost childlike part of George. But the comparison of himself and Callie to Batman and Robin was a little out there.
McDreamy (Derek) – Come on Derek this is not High School dude, you’re a surgeon now start fighting fair for your woman. What’s up with you busting in on her date with McVet (Finn) but wait… he turned around and did the same thing to you.
Addison – Feeling some remorse over the one niter with McSteamy (Mark)? I hope not yet… I hope so. I think I may be the only female in the USA who does not catch a major case of the vapors whenever McSteamy shows up on my TV. Secretly I enjoyed it when she slapped him in Joe’s. She needs a moment or two without Meredith, well Addison here is the deal, Meredith probably need a moment or two without you at one time or another and she had to deal so perhaps maybe you should follow her lead.
Meredith - She is a dating machine this episode, lunch with McVet (Finn) and dinner with McSteamy (Derek). Loved it when Christina said she is dating everything with a pulse
Christina – Not thrilled with being Burkes caregiver? I loved the betting between Christina and Alex when Meredith was having lunch with McVet (Finn). Why is she shocked that Burke is on a Leave of Absence? The man was shot.
Burke - I didn’t see nearly enough of you this episode and George said “You’re missed” Oh and I saw you reading The Star, whets up with that.
Alex- Okay this week we say “Good Alex” I am convinced the writers cannot figure out if they want Alex to be good or bad so they flip flop every week. Love Alex’s relationship with the little girl Megan. For some reason I want to see another chance with Alex and Izzie, the ying and yang of Seattle Grace.
Miranda - You go Dr. Bailey, I am proud of you for standing up to Chief Weber. Still remains my favorite character on this show.
Favorite Lines:
Christina – “I’m on my knees cleaning up a puddle of coffee and he is on the couch playing with himself … and not in a good way”
Addison and McSteamy – “Heres the thing we both really enjoyed each other, before and now…again and I think that is a healthy release...I think it’s it’s healthy for everybody involved and um but I do think that because I made what could only be considered a transcontinental booty call doesn’t mean we should be trying to make something of it”
Addison and Miranda – Discussing Addison being drunk at Joe’s
Addison: “We talked about”
Miranda: “A lot of things”
Addison: “You remember?”
Miranda” “None of them”
Addison: “You’re the best”
Miranda: “I think so”

Greys Anatomy Episode 3

Greys Anatomy Episode 2 - I Am A Tree
Addison, Addison, Addison what can I say just when I was beginning to like you, feel for you, think you truly loved Derek what do you do - you shack up with McSteamy again. Okay I will cut you a break, you really did try to make your marriage with Derek work and for that I commend you but when it doesn't work why run back to your one weakness. Oh well I will forgive you Addison, I need to you since I may be your only fan right now.
Izzie - Okay, I am feeling for poor Izzie right now. The poor girl, she fell in love with one of her patients but honestly who wouldn't love Denny. I hope Bailey helps her through this - I loved the last scene when Bailey took the spoon from Izzy.
George and Callie - These two are growing on me, the jealousy story line was so sweet and showed a fun side of Callie -not something we have seen a lot of. My question is she moving into the house with Meredith, Izzy and George? Callie is moving up on my list of favorites.
Derek, Meredith and Finn - Not commenting on this story line yet because I am not sure how I want it to work out. I will be sad to see McVet leave.
Christina, Burke and Momma - Oh Mylanta, poor Burke ENOUGH said.
Prediction: Maybe - Chief of Staff (what is his damn name) and Addison, possible relationship/affair?
Favorite Lines:
A VERY DRUNK Addison to a mourning Izzy
Addison: Did you know about the slutty sex your slutty friend had with my super slutty husband?
Alex and Callie
Alex: You and O'Malley, how did that happen?
Callie: I don't know your a surgeon how did that happen?

Greys Anatomy - Season Premier
Greys Anatomy Season Premier!!!
Can I love this show anymore? I doubt it.
Okay Season Premier was good, not GREAT but good. It made me look forward to the entire season which I guess is the job of a season premier. My favorite characters are still Dr. Burke and Dr. Bailey. I am not a "McDreamy" Fan however I do find myself liking Addison more and more as the show progresses.
Adding a link to show shows website at ABC. Also if you are not a fan but want to be Seasons 1 and 2 are now available on DVD. (I know, I know, what kind of statement is the "you want to be a fan").
