Paris
I am traveling for work, what is wrong with me I am one of the most exciting places in our country staying here. All I want to do is go home and see my dog and my cat.
I did go to the pool, it is lovely. I didn't bring my bathing suit - looked at one at a shop but well, I am not wearing butt floss in public.

This is the view from my room at Mandalay Bay...AWESOME. We were on the 34th floor looking down over the pools. Rumor has it there is a topless pool, from floor 34 you could not see any topless action (yes I was looking). I have stayed at Mandalay Bay in two years it if my memory is correct they remodeled the rooms, nice comfy beds (not a comfy as the Westin Heavenly Bed), flat panel TV's in the both the room and the bathroom and a HUGE bath tub which I should have taken a picture of but I didn't.
I like Las Vegas in small doses, three days is really my limit and then I am ready to go home. Nothing really memorable about this trip, a lot of eating and walking and drinking.
I did go into a store called The Lush Puppy, it must be for big winners at the table since a small little dog sweater was $50.00.

Mandalay Bay - Las Vegas
This is the view from my room at Mandalay Bay...AWESOME. We were on the 34th floor looking down over the pools. I had the opportunity to travel to New York City for business on December 14th. I have been to New York many times but never during the holiday season. While we were there the weather was around 58 degrees - FABULOUS for walking around the city and seeing the sites.
The picture on the left is the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center, the crowds were huge, everyone clicking pictures and "ohhing" and "ahhing" over the tree. Big mistake was walking past Radio City Music Hall just before the Christmas Show was about to start. I almost ended up on the opposite side of the street because I was walking against the crowds. The store windows were all decorated for the holidays, very pretty. Best time was in the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art)Gift Shop, they had some very creative Christmas Cards and decorations.

Christmas in NYC
I had the opportunity to travel to New York City for business on December 14th. I have been to New York many times but never during the holiday season. If you are planning on visitin Long Beach you can actually stay on the Queen Mary, rates are not bad and hey you can say you stay on a Royal Yacht. While we were there we spent a lot of evenings in Shoreline Village which is a cute little row of shops and restaurants along the marina, try either Parkers Lighthouse or The Yard House (Note: The Yard House's claim to fame is the largest selection of beer in North America). Also a fun little Sport Bar on Pine Ave called Smooths - GREAT WINGS!!!.

This week I traveled to Long Beach CA for a tradeshow. Long Beach is a cute little town South of LA (anyways I think its South of LA). This Week...
Started the week in Portland Oregon, all I can is WOW!!! what beauty. Flying into Portland we had a clear view of Mt. Hood. It was almost like I could reach out the window and touch it (well except I was in an airplane). The Flight Attendant mentioned that she had never had a such clear view flying into Portland, it usually either cloudy or there is a forest fire that interrupts the view. While we flew to Portland our meeting was in Vancouver Washington - another beautiful place. If you are ever in Vancouver make sure you stay at the Heathman Lodge www.Heathmanlodge.com, beautiful hotel, clean and the restaurant is fabulous.
Ended the Week in Boston and Warwick RI, also a very nice area of the country. I probably would have liked it more in the spring or summer right now its COLD!!!. I did experience my first New England Clam Bake. All I can is "oh my goodness" the amount of food served was unbelievable. We had Shrimp, Clams, Steak, Lobster, Corn, Cole Slaw, Red Skin Potatos and Brown Bread. I finished about half of my lobster and maybe a quarter of my steak and I was done. Special shout outs and Thanks to Mark for teaching me how to each that beast of a lobster, without you I would still be sitting there pondering how to approach that thing.
